UPDATE ON 2011 NEW FOREST SHOW.

OCTOBER 2010.

 

The artists who wish to show their pictures

at the Art Pavilion in July 2011 should apply

for an entry form as soon as possible.

 

Many of the New Forest artists who have shown

previously will have had their forms by now.

 

Mrs Courtney Leggett will be taking over from me

after the 2011 show. [I will have done my

 5 year stint by then].

 

It makes things much easier if your forms can be in

before this December 31st.

 

This years show was good, about £4000 of sales

and a lot of good comments/feedback.

The girls and lads who gave their time helping

were marvellous and made the time a happy, friendly,

and very well run event.

Hallo, good day and welcome to the latest...

 

Re NFASS.

The New Forest show now over for 2010

 and is the time now to start to send out the

invitations to show at the 2011 Art Pavilion.

 

I will be working together with Courtney Leggett for

the 2011 show and gradually handing over to her

as this will be the end of my five year `contract `.

Courtney will be then be carrying on

with the Art Pavilion work.

The Art Pavilion has had 4 really successful

 years...2007 the first was a bit wet.

Sponsor. ExxonMobil

             2008, 2009,and 2010 were fine,

Sponsor. Brockenhurst College for the three years.

             2011 will have to be fine.

But it wouldn`t happen without the help of the sponsors

and the artists and the magnificent marquee

 

 My thanks go to all the helpers [all artists],

                        to all the invited artists

                        to all the visitors,

                        and all the NFASS staff  

 

  Re Totton Art Society,

       Both myself and my wife were so

pleased to open their Summer Exhibition

and so well treated on that occasion.

      Doreen [my wife] was very surprised

 with the wonderful bouquet of flowers

and they filled two vases.

      With regard to their exhibition.......

       The standard was very high

       A lot of lovely pictures

       all very nicely presented

       and sales on the opening night

       were very good.

new forest show update 25th July

Just to let you know that the marquee is ready to open.

There has been a problem with the posting of the stewards badges as some have been mislaid by the GPO.

 I will leave a list of the art pavilion stewards with the gate so that they can check your name and hopefully let you in.

 

There are about five artists who hadn`t turned up on Sat and today [Sun] All the rest have brought their entries in on time, Thank you for making that effort.

 Let`s hope that the weather holds.

 And we may even sell some works in this recessive climate.

 

Remember that these are all  New Forest [or near] artists and

that there are amateurs as well as professionals showing.

Fawley Art and Craft Community fair.

 THE EXHIBITION STARTS THIS SATURDAY AT 10 AM . IN THE JUBILEE HALL FAWLEY.           MRS DOREEN HOSEY WILL OPEN THE SHOW SOON AFTER 10 AM.

I don`t think that the weather is going to be too good but its all indoors.

 

 

WE WILL NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET ON THIS FRIDAY 2ND APRIL AT 10 AM WHEN PATCH WILL OPEN THE DOORS.

NEWS FOR MARCH 2010.

The Fawley Art and Craft Community Fayre at the Jubilee Hall.

ON 2ND APRIL   THIS IS GOOD FRIDAY. 10am till done.

Need all able bodies to help put tables chairs and screens in place.

ON 3RD APRIL   EASTER SATURDAY Doreen will open the Fayre at 10am.

The show goes on 10am to 4pm every day until

ON 16TH APRIL  [A Friday] STARTING AROUND 1pm the show closes

and all items can be collected and the hall cleared up.

Update for February 2010

1.  THE ART PAVILION AT THE NEW FOREST SHOW  27TH 28TH 29TH   JULY 2010.

 

There are now 100 artists who will be showing.  Don`t give up if you would like to participate.

There are a few places left and it is an excellent way to get your best works displayed to a lot of people and £3 per work for three days showing and only 10% on your sale which goes to charity, beats most galleries.

While I have been organising this[3 years now] we`ve sold over £10,000 worth of works or an average of £1000 per day of the show.

2.  THE 7TH FAWLEY ART AND CRAFT [community]FAIR 3rd TO 16th APRIL 2010 AT THE

FAWLEY JUBILEE HALL IN FAWLEY SQUARE  10 am to 4.pm every day.

The fair will be opened by Doreen Hosey M.B.E. who will be going to see the Queen next week to receive the award having worked for years raising money for  Oakhaven and Diabetics charities.

    There will be over 70 pictures by local artists

    Photographs by local photographers.

     Doreen will have her home made cakes ,jams, pickles and chutneys for sale.

     A second hand stall of toys ..and every thing you could think of.

    Three local Authors will be selling signed books.

     Homemade cards and local scenes postcards.

    Glass engraving by local expert

    Wood turning by local professional.

    The village stitchers will be showing some of their best work.

    The flower club have a table.

    Some lovely jewellery will be shown, all made by local girls, amber,beadwork and silver.

    The R.N.L.I. have a table.

    In all, a good fair to visit.

UPDATE JAN 16 2010

   NEW FOREST SHOW ART PAVILION.

       There are about 20 places left at the moment so if you live in the  area or near and you are a good artist pro or am then ring 02380 898413 for the entry forms. This is a very good way to show your work to hundreds of people for an outlay of  £9 entry for 2 medium sized pictures plus 1 in reserve.

 

    7th  FAWLEY ART AND CRAFT FAIR

         This will be held at the JUBILEE HALL in Fawley Square

      at Easter  for two weeks...3rd April to 16th April 2010.

   This is a community event and is for all those arty and crafty persons who live in the Fawley area

        Again, if you would like to enter a painting or three [£1 per pic hung] or hire a craft table at £10 for the fortnight...ring 02380 898413.

        The sooner the better as these tables are going quickly.
